Speaker(s): Harry Kim – a Special Program Examiner in the International Patent Legal Administration (IPLA) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Harry joined the USPTO in 1992 as a patent examiner and examined patent applications in the mechanical arts for 10 years. In his current position, Harry is involved with educating and assisting the patent community with respect to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) by providing training to help applicants and practitioners file PCT international and national phase applications. He is also involved with instructing patent examiners at the USPTO concerning the examination of PCT related applications and providing direct assistance to the public regarding the PCT process. In 2023, Harry joined the Eastern Regional Outreach Office as Assistant Outreach Coordinator.
