Allison Dugan has served the Valley SBDC as a Business Advisor and has been recently promoted to Assistant Director. Allison started her work with the SBDC as the Program Manager for “What’s Cooking – The Business of Food”, a community-wide initiative to celebrate food-related businesses and entrepreneurs in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. She is a Growth Wheel Certified Business Advisor on the SBDC team with a special focus on helping clients with Marketing. She has an extensive background in Tourism Development and was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for Shenandoah Caverns. Allison has been involved with the Virginia Hospitality Travel Association and Shenandoah Valley Travel since 2002 and served a full term as a Director on the Board in the Harrisonburg Rotary Club. She currently serves as a BOLD Leadership Mentor with the Harrisonburg - Rockigham Chamber of Commerce and begins her term on the Board of Trustees with the Harrisonburg - Rockigham Historical Society in 2019.
Allison is originally from “South Jersey” but has lived in Massanutten for over 23 years raising her two daughters now grown, Nichole and Kristie. She has been taking MBA level coursework toward a graduate certificate and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia. Allison is a NASBITE CGBP, a Certified Global Business Professional.
