We are excited to announce the second Startup Weekend in the Shenandoah Valley - February 7-9, 2014!
Shenandoah Valley Startup Weekend is for entrepreneurs, designers, programmers, makers, and others who want to pitch a startup idea and receive feedback from their peers.
At Startup Weekend, teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote), and then it’s a 54-hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in frontof local entrepreneurial leaders for another opportunity for critical feedback.
Curious? Here’s a video for more about Startup Weekend.
Who is invited? Seasoned -- as well as first-time -- entrepreneurs, artists/designers, programmers/coders, “makers” and others! If you have these skill-sets, if you have a great idea for a new business, or you just love the energy of entrepreneurial thinking, don't miss this weekend! Ideas will be presented on Friday evening, and teams will form to explore the most exciting ideas in more detail.
“Startup weekend was an amazing platform and experience for us entrepreneurs. The coaching, mentoring, and networking truly permitted the birth of our company in an innovative way. Since the first start up weekend, we have successfully grown our business to 13 retailers and recently landed a deal with a major retailer, Kroger (all within 5 months).”
