The Living Business Plan

At the SBDC, we work every day with new and existing business owners as they work through start-up and growth stages. Something's always changing and we need to review, think, and plan.  Many times, we're working on business plans.

Putting ideas on paper seems so confining and permanent. Some business owners are finished with their business plan as soon as they write it--if they write it at all.

Susan Payton's article on writing and updating a business plan (http://smallbiztrends.com/2012/08/tim-berry-business-plan-shelf.html) will motivate you to let go of the fear of creating set-in-stone decisions, and instead create an evolving document that changes with your business.

What do you think?  Do you have a plan? and when did you last read and update it?
