A story can inspire, engage, and motivate and is your most important communication tool because it can move people to action.

It's a secret weapon that can inspire donors to give, engage a new volunteer, intrigue a journalist, or motivate your staff to embrace a new initiative.  You only need three to five stories each year to help strengthen your nonprofit organization's communications work.  Most organizations have dozens, if not hundreds, of stories waiting to be told - stories of clients who have a new lease on life, stories of volunteers who love your organization, and stories of passionate staff members who are improving your community.

Join the Alliance for Nonprofit Partnerships and Dena Reynolds of RVA Communications for a dynamic new workshop titled "Telling Your Nonprofit's Story."

Dena Reynolds, M.S., is the Principal and Owner of RVA Communications, which is a public relations consultant for nonprofits to help them increase their awareness in the community.  She works to land media coverage for clients, deliver communication strategies and train teams in effective public relations tactics.  Dena teaches communications classes for The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia as well as Tidewater Community College's Academy for Nonprofit Excellence in Suffolk, VA.  Dena has a wealth of experience that she would love to share with you!

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 9am-3:30pm at the Ice House (JMU Entrance) located at 127 Bruce Street Harrisonburg, VA 22801.

The cost of the training, which includes a boxed lunch is $45 for Alliance members and $55 for non-members.  Seats are filling up fast, so don't miss your opportunity!  Please use this link to register.

We look forward to seeing you there!
