business smarts bookTelling Your Business Story

Join us for business over breakfast!  Each month we co-host a morning filled with business education and networking.  The 2014 Business Smarts Series' focus is Telling Your Business Story.  Every small business has a story to tell.  This year will explore the methods and media you can use to tell your unique story.

This month:  Once Upon a Time...

What captivating stories does your business or organization have to tell?
Who are the characters; what is the history, and what are the “happy endings”?

A good story captures the imagination and compels us to ask for more. Organizational stories bring facts and figures to life and invite customers, clients, and donors to engage with you in a personal way.

How can you use your stories to inform about your mission, products, and goals? Join us as we begin a year-long conversation about how to recognize and use your stories for maximum marketing impact.

Today’s presenter:  Betsy Hay is VP of Wellness and Community Based Service for VMRC. Prior to her appointment to that position, Betsy served as Executive Director of the United Way of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County for nine years. She loves to create, collect, and share stories that make a difference in people’s lives.
