Business Smarts – How Do You Decide? Ethical Reasoning in Action in Business
220 University Blvd Harrisonburg
VA 22801
50 years of empirical research show that we tend to make decisions, including important ethical ones, in ways that surprise and, perhaps, disappoint us.
Join us in this interactive workshop where you will be introduced to the science behind how we actually make decisions, the Eight Key Questions for ethical reasoning, and how to apply the 8KQ to inform collective (and personal) decision making.
Designed to disrupt quick “biased” intuitions and reactions through questions, reflection, and critical thinking at the decision point, the Eight Key Question Ethical Reasoning Strategy enables us to ask open questions that invite more information when making ethical choices and responses.
This promises to be one of our most engaging and thought-provoking sessions! The more participants, the better – you don’t want to miss this one.
To maximize our time in person, here are 2 items you can review before coming to the session on 3/11:
- Take the Ethical Preferences Inventory https://epi.questionpro.com (about 10 minutes)
- Watch this Video for some of what we’ll be discussing: https://youtu.be/e72iASGLVfA (about 15 minutes)
