business smarts bookTelling Your Business Story

Join us for business over breakfast!  Each month we co-host a morning filled with business education and networking.  The 2014 Business Smarts Series' focus is Telling Your Business Story.  Every small business has a story to tell.  This year will explore the methods and media you can use to tell your unique story.

This month: Chapter 3 ~ Choosing the Right Media

Now that you have chosen the right words and images to tell your business story, it is time to pick the right media. Who will deliver your story to your chosen audience on time and accurately? It is important to know and understand how each outlet will tell your “Once upon a time."

Presenter Mary-Hope Vass has worked for the City of Harrisonburg for five years and currently serves as the citywide Public Information Officer (PIO). Before working in the City Manager’s Office, she worked as the PIO for the Harrisonburg Police Department and started her career in the Public Affairs Office with the Richmond Police Department. Mary-Hope enjoys the challenge of deciding which media is the best outlet to deliver the city’s messages to its targeted audience.
