business smarts bookTelling Your Business Story

Join us for business over breakfast!  Each month we co-host a morning filled with business education and networking.  The 2014 Business Smarts Series' focus is Telling Your Business Story.  Every small business has a story to tell.  This year will explore the methods and media you can use to tell your unique story.

This month: Chapter 2 ~ Using the Right Images

In our sometimes chaotic world, words alone may not be enough to grab attention and engage your audience. Learn how to add visual impact to your message by using just the right colors, fonts, and images. Whether for logos, brochures, signs, or websites, discover the art and science of finding the most effective mix of images and words to tell your unique and authentic story.

Presenter Jean "Jaye" Brumfield is the creative force behind The Hatchery Design Company where she has been helping her clients tell their stories for over a dozen years. She has honed her graphic design skills for almost 20 years and in such varied environments as a small private college, a state university, a Big Five accounting firm, a big city advertising agency, and now her own business. She also practices her presenting skills as a part time faculty member at James Madison University, teaching that the purpose of graphic design is communication.
