business smarts bookTelling Your Business Story

Join us for business over breakfast!  Each month we co-host a morning filled with business education and networking.  The 2014 Business Smarts Series' focus is Telling Your Business Story.  Every small business has a story to tell.  This year will explore the methods and media you can use to tell your unique story.

This month: Chapter 1 ~ Using the Right Words

Note: this event moved from 2/14 to 2/21 due to weather conditions.

Words can sizzle or fizzle, ignite or numb, activate or anesthetize. This session promises to help you find the former and avoid the latter! Your business story blossoms when you learn the power of verbs, brevity, and imagery.

Presenter Shirley Hershey Showalter learned to tell stories at her mother's knee and has been telling them every since -- in classrooms, in the board room, leading an executive team, presiding over a college campus and over the program group of a private operating foundation with a half billion dollar endowment. She has helped many clients and students from all walks of life learn to tell compelling stories that lead groups to achieve shared goals.
