QuickBooks and Financial training for Your Business
Keeping the Books September 15, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Basic functions, chart of accounts, recording and matching revenues & expenses, receipts & disbursements, end-of-period closings, and financial reports. This seminar is not software-specific and will apply to any manual or computerized accounting system. It is an excellent foundation course for QuickBooks training. (Though not required, you may want to bring a small hand-held calculator to class.) $35
QuickBooks I (2-part course) Sept 29 and Oct 6, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
This hands-on course will teach you to set up a QuickBooks system for your business. Work with customer and vendor lists, forms, registers, and bank and credit card accounts; enter sales and payments; enter and pay bills; report and analyze financial data. This course is taught assuming participants have a basic understanding of bookkeeping terms and practices. $95
QuickBooks Payroll Oct 26, 3:00 - 5:00 pm
Prepare for a smooth start to 2011 payroll with QuickBooks. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn to set up your company payroll schedules and employee records, process and print paychecks, track your payroll tax liabilities, and file quarterly and year-end reports. We'll also review the 2010 legislative changes that affect your payroll. $35
Tackling Business Taxes Oct 29, 2:00 - 5:00 pm
Prepare for 2011 with this thorough review of your responsibilities as a business owner, manager, or self-employed contractor. Topics include: How choice of entity affects your tax responsibilites; Managing employee withholding and other taxes; Business deductions, including those for home-use, travel, meals; Recordkeeping, forms, filing and penalties. Presenters will include local Certified Public Accountants and our Stakeholder Liaison from the Internal Revenue Service. $25
QuickBooks for Contractors Nov 17, 1:00 – 5:00 Increase your profits by learning job costing tools in this hands-on course. Keep all your job details in one place and operate more effectively. This class is recommended for builders, general or sub-contractors, specialty trades, and any business where job or project cost analysis is helpful. Reference materials are included. This course is taught assuming participants have a basic understanding of bookkeeping terms and practices and are currently using or own a version of QuickBooks Financial Software. QuickBooks for Non-Profits Oct 20, 1:00 – 5:00
This hands-on class will help you meet the needs of management, boards of directors, and grantors. Handle your grants and contracts, manage proposals, track funding sources, record in-kind transactions, reconcile bank statements, budgets, and more. This course is taught assuming participants have a basic understanding of bookkeeping terms and practices and are currently using or own a version of QuickBooks Financial Software.
