Established Business

The staff of the SV SBDC can help you choose from a variety of services (advice, training, resources) to meet your individual concerns and needs, while guiding you toward achievable goals and long-term success.

Visit the Events Calendar or Events Pages to see the variety of seminars and training available to you.  If you do not find what your are seeking, let us know. We may be able to recommend other resources for you. To search the entire Virginia SBDC Network, click HERE.

When seeking an appointment, please use our Request for Counseling Form and Pre-Counseling Questionnaire (see Forms Link) to help define your immediate concerns and needs. Mail it to either office or call us to set an appointment with a counselor.

We will use the information on your questionnaire to help create a Business Improvement Program specifically for you.  We will first meet with you to:

  • Address your immediate concerns in the context of your overall business situation.

Then, together, we can:

  • Discuss and create a long-term strategic plan for your business.
  • Set one-year goals and create a business plan and cash flow projections.
  • Review management or organizational issues to improve your operations.
  • Consider your marketing goals and set strategies to achieve them.
  • Set realistic and achievable financial and profitability goals.
  • Address employee/human resource issues.
  • Improve your sales strategies and techniques.
  • Explore and recommend additional resources and/or training as appropriate to your specific needs.
  • Review your progress periodically to assure long-term success.
