This workshop presents an overview of the two basic requirements—Small/Micro Certification and eVA Registration—for a small business to be in position to conduct business with the state government as well as many local governments within the state.

It also highlights tips and best practices for selecting the appropriate commodity codes, analyzing the market potential for your particular business, targeting the buyers in specific state agencies which buy the goods and/or services your company provides, and seamlessly navigating Virginia’s eProcurement Portal to maximize your opportunities for state and local government business.

Presented by Courtney Mustin of the Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity and the Small Business Development Center.

Startup businesses and emerging small businesses are highly encouraged to attend!

There will also be a chance for one-on-one appointments with Courtney this afternoon or on Thursday Aug 17 for those who would like to become registered in eVA, become SWaM certified, or help navigate and use eVA more effectively.

Please use the Registration Page to reserve your seat for the workshop and/or to request your one-on-one appointment.
